Is it the buildings that really make a place, or the people that live, work and play in them?
Well, certainly the buildings help; but mostly it’s the people.
Galera has good people. Honest people, generous and hard working.
“My kind of town-Galera is” – as Frank Sinatra surely would have said if he had jet-setted in.
Galera is a small rural town, nestling into the hillside, with a rich farming valley running through it.
So many traditions and customs here are based around the land. The land was and still is so important.
Come and celebrate the many fiestas here and you’ll know what we mean.
It seems – any excuse to party and Galera has a fiesta to accommodate !
